Boston School Desegregation and Busing 50th Anniversary Event - June 20th, 2024

About this event:

On Thursday, June 20, 2024, guests joined us at the Moakley Courthouse and on Zoom for a riveting panel discussion delving into Morgan v. Hennigan (1974), the historic Boston desegregation case decided by Judge Garrity 50 years ago on June 21st, 1974.

This event was conceived by the Boston Desegregation and Busing Initiative, a committee of community leaders and activists organizing forums, exhibits, and partnerships during the 50th anniversary of Boston school desegregation. Learn more at www.bostondesegregation.org, and join us for this opportunity to engage, reflect, and advocate for the future.

Discovering Justice was proud to be one of many co-sponsors of this event. You can view the Zoom recording of this hybrid event below. Thank you for your interest in our Courthouse Programs and programs and events at the Moakley Courthouse!
